What is Bihar STET (BSTET)?

Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (BSEET) is administered by the Bihar School Examination Board or BSEB. It is for the appointment of teachers for Secondary (Class 9- 10) and Higher Secondary Level (Class 11-12). Bihar STET consists of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Candidates must have passed the written test in order to be eligible for teaching positions in various schools under the Bihar government. Teachers will also be hired for physical education through BSTET. The BSTET exam is administered in two shifts, Paper I in the morning session (10 am to 12:30 pm) and Paper II in the afternoon session (2 pm to 4:30 pm).

Bihar STET selection process

Online Application:

BSEEB has invited online applications for Secondary and Higher Secondary Teacher Posts. Candidates should apply through BSEB Official Website bsebstet2019.in

Bihar STET Admit Card:

BSEB issues Bihar STET Admit Card the week before the written test. Candidates must download the admit card or hall ticket from the link provided on the official website.

Bihar STET Writing Exam:

BSEB conducts Writing Test for both Secondary and Higher Secondary. Paper I, is administered to the secondary level and Paper II to the secondary level. Candidates must meet minimum eligibility marks to clear the exam. Candidates who have passed the General Category Candidate Examination have to score 50% marks and Candidates in other categories have to score 45% marks to qualify.

Note: The Bihar STET Physical Education and Physical Instructor exams conduct separately. The eligibility percentage is the same in Paper I and Paper II.

Bihar STET Answer Key Release:

After the BESB Written Examination, Bihar issues the STET Answer Key. Candidates can send their objections if there is a difference in the official answer key. The final answer key will be released

Bihar STET Result:

The final Bihar STET Result will be published to announce the names of all the successful candidates who have scored cutoff marks in the relevant exam.
